It begins or continues or something!!!

Without further ado, we have returned. There is much to say, but it will be said later. More as time allows. Enjoy our LONG delayed new episode!

* For those who are curious, in the time and reality that The Room is set in, many of the major corporations have formed extremely large conglomerates, referred to by slang as 'gloms. The gloms have attempted many strategies over the years to maintain a seemingly personable image of themselves, including fighting bad press and regulation attempts by the government. One result of this is the loss of names, a psychological stratagem to fight word of mouth: in the future that our story is set in, names of people and companies can legally be represented by symbols or images. Thus, you could have a company whose only identifying characteristic was their logo. Because people refer to different images with different words, they often don't understand if they are speaking about the same company. People online devote themselves to demystifying this psychological attempt at PR warfare, but it's obscure enough that it's a somewhat effective strategy. To further complicate matters, restaurant chains that have been absorbed into 'gloms tend to have been renamed as local businesses to try and blend in. By this, I mean that you might be wandering down the street, looking for a burger and you might see some place labeled 'Joe's Delicious Burgers' that in actuality is the equivalent of a Mcsomethingrather or a Burger Royalty of some kind. The only defining indicator that shows its 'glom presence is the symbol of the logo or identifying mark on the sign or restaurant. In the end, this leads to people identifying the logo over the obscuring business name and much associated confusion and odd sounding arguments (as above). I grant that this is largely satire in our own reality and future, but one never can tell...

More to follow!

Thanks for being a reader during our troubled updating cycle! We're working on site updates and more in the near future!

Blarg e-snarg e-flarg!

Alrighty, this is Chester here, author of the Room, to write up a few announcements!

1. We are not dead! Thank you to those of you who have sent the occasional letter of support. Will has been INSANELY busy with classes, beyond the veil of what he has experienced in the past or (hopefully) will experience in the future.

2. We may be returning to a black and white format for a time in order to get newer episodes out again as we are able. This is up for debate, and may be colored in later if we end up doing this.

3. There is a whole lot of plotlines, itching to come out, and when we have time it will be out.

4. The site redesign will be coming in phases, possibly before our next release.

5. The music for the first several episodes is done, but we're looking into hosting solutions. If anyone knows about having music streamed from another site (preferably free ones), let us know as we're looking for some simple mechanism to do it with as well as having controls for.

Thank you for continuing to be patient with us. Pardon our dust in the meantime. Sorry I didn't post about this sooner. It was one of those things where you kept thinking any day now, and then not having that day come.

As for the rest of you, think positive thoughts or send karma or brilliant expensive monetary thoughts towards Will in the hopes that it will alleviate his educational insanity soon!

More as we have time. Happy holidays to those who enjoy them and happy winter to everyone else!
